Lady Gaga will sing the national anthem at Super Bowl 50

Lady Gaga has been tapped for two important musical moments, all within the same day.

As we previously reported, Gaga is slated to sing a tribute to David Bowie at this month's Grammy Awards. On top of that, the NFL confirmed to the Associated Press that Gaga is set to sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl on Sunday. Gaga's performance will follow Broadway Star Idina Menzel's, who sang the anthem at last year's Superbowl.

This awards season has already been a busy one for Gaga, a pattern that is likely to continue. Last month, she took home a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Limited Series or TV Movie for her role in FX's American Horror Story: Hotel. In addition, she is nominated for an Oscar for her song "Til It Happens to You" from the anti-rape documentary The Hunting Ground, and will also serve as one of  the ceremony's performers.
