Kelly Clarkson pens children's book for daughter called 'River Rose and the Magical Lullaby'

Kelly Clarkson’s daughter, River, will have a lot of special memories to look back on because her famous mom has now penned a children’s book about her called River Rose and the Magical Lullaby.

Clarkson, who also wrote a song about River called “Heartbeat Song,” announced the book news on Twitter on Feb. 9.

“I’m officially a children’s book author,” she wrote, “River Rose and the Magical Lullaby comes out this October!”

Clarkson talked about how the book came about in a video announcement, saying she was traveling a lot with River when she was too young to remember anything and she wanted to document each trip for her.

“It’s kind of a cool thing to be on a plane with my daughter. We were going on trips to the U.K. and Asia and Australia, all these amazing places that she was too little to remember,” she explained. “Basically I started writing down these little fun stories—of like when we went to Australia and she got to hang out with some kangaroos.”
