A Firehouse Subs in Lathan, NY hosted a fundraiser for a local teen who lost his family in a murder/suciide.
The teen, Noah Roman, is the only surviving son of Israel Roman, a Colonie police officer who shot and killed his wife, Deborah and younger son, Nathan. He then set his house on fire, killing himself, according to Time Warner Cable News.
The fundraiser took place between 10:30 am to 9:00 pm, according to News10. All donations and a percentage of the sales were given to Noah and his family. The restaurant is located next to Robin Lane by the Latham Farms Plaza.
On March 2, TCBY plans to hold their own fundraiser at their locations in Guilderland, Lathan and Niskayuna.
Five Guys in Niskayuna, Guilderland, Latham and Colonie also participated in raising funds as well, from 4 to 9 p.m, Time Warner Cable News reported.
