Elizabeth Banks to headline the 2016 Produced by Conference

Elizabeth Banks is known for such comedic roles as Gail the A Capella judge in Pitch Perfect and its sequel, but her role in producing these films will take center stage for her upcoming appearance at the 2016 Produced By Conference.

On Feb. 19, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Banks has signed on to appear at the 2016 Produced By Conference, an event sponsored by the Producer's Guild of America.

The conference is scheduled for June 4 and 5, and will take place on Sony Pictures' lot in Culver City, California. According to the PGA website, the event "showcases influential decision-makers in the entertainment industry who represent the best of the vibrant and diverse Hollywood creative community working in film, television, and digital" and is " truly for producers, by producers."

Banks will be joined by Max Handelman, who is not only her producing partner in her production company, Brownstone Productions, but also her husband. The couple co-produced both Pitch Perfect films, with Banks stepping in to direct the second, a role that she parodied during her recent appearance on Saturday Night Live.

Other headliners include Russell Simmons of All Def Digital, as well as Trumbo producer Michael London.
