Chrissy Teigen reveals she was getting IVF shots during latest Sports Illustrated shoot

Chrissy Teigen revealed she and husband John Legend had issues conceiving before announcing she was pregnant with their first child, and she’s now opening up about what some of those issues entailed.

During a Sports Illustrated fan event in Miami on Feb. 17, Teigen said she was undergoing IVF treatments while shooting her latest spread for the magazine.

“I was doing IVF during the shoot,” she told People.

“I was getting my shots and everything in Zanzibar, I had a little medical kit,” she continued. “It was hard because you bloat from it, and you bruise — if I hit the wrong area. That’s the kind of things we had to cover with makeup.”

Teigen revealed they had trouble conceving in Sept. 2015 while on her show Fab Life, saying she was fed up with the media asking about it.

“We would have had kids five, six years ago if it had happened,” she said. “But my gosh, it’s been a process. We’ve seen fertility doctors.”
