Kanye West's longtime collaborator urges him to seek 'spiritual and mental' help, step away from public eye to 'heal'

Kanye West has been off on a longer tangent than usual with the release of his new album The Life of Pablo, getting into Twitter feuds, changing the album’s name four times and now asking Mark Zuckerberg to give him $1 billion. His co-writer, Rhymefest, has now revealed he has quit and tweeted he thinks the rapper needs mental help.

Rhymefest replied to a fan’s tweet about wishing he was still working with the rapper, and he wrote he thinks West should take a break from the public eye and seek help.

“My brother needs help, in the form of counseling,” he tweeted. “Spiritual & mental. He should step away from the public & yesmen & heal.”

When another fan tweeted him and asked him to start working with West again, he replied, “nah his mind and spirit isn't right.”

Rhymefest, who has worked with the rapper on songs like “New Slaves” and “Jesus Walks,” told another fan he quit working for West last month.
