Former America's Next Top Model host Tyra Banks shocked fans by revealing her son's birth on her Instagram page with a photo of a baby hospital beanie. Banks and boyfriend Erik Asla welcomed son York Banks Asla via surrogate.
According to Banks' Instagram post, which does not feature York, York has mom Banks' fingers and big eyes, and dad Asla's mouth and chin.
York is a miracle baby for Banks, as she had had previously discussed her fertility troubles with her co-host Chissy Teigen on talk show the FABLife. Banks empathized with Teigen's fertility struggles, having previously gone through IVF fertility treatments. She supported Teigen and other women by saying "...for any women, it is none of your business what somebody is going through. Whether they want to have a child or don't ever want to have a child or may have a child on the way, it's none of your business, okay? Until somebody wants to make it your business."
According to E! Banks, also wished those with similar fertility struggles the same happiness in her post, calling York's birth a "joyous milestone."
