'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Kim Richards' ex-husband Monty Brinson dies at age 58

Monty Brinson, the ex-husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Kim Richards, has passed away at the age of 58 after a battle with cancer.
Although they were divorced, Richards and Brinson lived together in recent years while the troubled reality star cared for him.

Brinson documented his final days on Instagram. Last week he wrote, “Even though I'm facing death eye to eye which instead of being being scared or pity I'm imbracing it as I go forward with this journey. I pray my journey helps others in what lays ahead of them through their struggles.”

He also wrote in one of his last posts, "I'd like to thank all the people who have crossed my path. You've all touched my heart.”

Richards’ brother-in-law, Rick Hilton, announced Brinson’s death on Sunday night. He wrote on Instagram, “We have lost Monty Brinson after a brave battle with cancer. His heart was a big as the moon and he was loved by all he Met. He will be sorely missed. I love You always!”

On Friday, Richards took to Twitter to thank fans for their outpouring of support for Brinson as his condition worsened.

Richards and Brinson were married from 1985 to 1988 and share one daughter; Brooke, 29.
