NBC’s much-ballyhooed Friends reunion won’t be complete. That’s because Matthew Perry will still be in London on the stage.
The Friends reunion isn’t even for a one-off episode of the show. Instead, it’s for a special to honor prolific television director James Burrows, who helmed several Friends epsiodes. The special will air on Feb. 21.
Perry confirmed on The Graham Norton Show that other five members of the cast - Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow - will all be participating in the special. He will be there, but not in the same room.
“The other five [Friends] are going to be on this special and I am going to introduce them from London. I'm doing the play here so I can't be there,” Perry said, reports The Daily Mail.
Perry, who stars on CBS’ The Odd Couple remake, will be starring in The End of the Longing at the Playhouse Theatre in the West End, starting on Feb. 2.
Friends originally ran from 1994 to 2004 and fans have been asking for reunions ever since.
