Netflix sets premiere date for ‘Pee-wee’s Big Holiday,’ posts trailer (Video)

Paul Reubens and his famous alter ego, Pee-wee Herman, are back and this time, on Netflix. The streaming site released the first teaser for the Judd Apatow-produced Pee-wee’s Big Holiday.

The movie will go online on March 18, which is just after the film has its world premiere at South By Southwest in Austin, Texas.

It is directed by John Lee (Broad City, Inside Amy Schumer) and written by Reubens and Paul Rust, the creator of the Apatow-produced Netflix series Love. Rust also collaborated with Reubens when he took Pee-Wee Herman to Broadway.

In the 30-second teaser, Pee-wee wakes up in a crazy way as he heads out on an adventure with a mysterious stranger.

Other members of the cast include Alia Shawkat, Joe Manganiello, Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Stephanie Beatriz and David Arquette.
