Ned Bigby actor launches 'Ned's Declassified' inspired web series

The child star of Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide has just launched his own web series inspired by the show.

Devon Werkheiser, who played Neg Bigby on the 2004 Nickelodeon series, has begun a new YouTube show called Devon's Life Survival Tips. It's clearly influenced by his past role, although for copyright reasons he probably couldn't actually use the same character. Werkheiser launched two videos this week: the first introducing the idea of the channel and the second talking about finding motivation.

Werkheiser said that over the years, he has been getting numerous requests to make some sort of high school or college survival guide as an unofficial sequel to the show.

“It feels like it’s been a long time coming, but I finally became conscious of it, maybe in September of 2015,” Werkheiser told MTV News. He also noted that the new series will be about “universal life lessons and stuff that we’re all going through.”

And here's some exciting news: Werkheiser said he hopes to incorporate cast members from Ned's Declassified into the series at some point, although he wants to start out on his own. Presumably the cast members would appear out of character.

Devon's Life Survival Tips will air Mondays on Werkheiser's official YouTube channel.
