McDonald’s Japan announces chocolate-covered French fries... YUM!

Right after you buy that black burger at Burger King in Japan, you will probably want some really creative French fries. You’ll have to go to McDonald’s though, where you can get chocolate-covered French fries.

McDonald’s Japan announced the creation of McChoco Potato, Dubbed an “ideal combination,” the item featured chocolate-flavored sauce and white milk chocolate-flavored sauce drizzled on the fries. According to the company, “The combination creates a wonderful salty and sweet harmonious taste.”

Fast food chains in Japan seem to be in an ongoing battle to create the craziest menu items for their customers. For example, Burger King made headlines last year for introducing a burger with red buns and red cheese. Burger King Japan has also offered burgers with black buns and black cheese. McDonald’s Japan also offered Shaka Shaka Potato fries, which were topped with cheese sauce or bacon.

The McChoco Potato will be in McDonald’s Japan locations on Jan. 26. We can’t imagine how well this would go over in America.
