‘Legends of Tomorrow’ finds actor to play Jonah Hex

Just a few days after announcing plans to introduce Jonah Hex in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, the show’s producers have found a new actor to play the Western anti-hero.

Johnathon Schaech has been cast in the role, Entertainment Weekly reports. The actor has appeared on The Client List, Texas Rising, Ray Donovan. Back in 1996, he starred in Tom Hanks’ That Thing You Do!.

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim announced last week that Jonah Hex will appear in Legends’ 11th episode, which will be set in the West. It will be the first time the character has ever appeared in a live action television show.

Jonah Hex was created by John Albano and Tony DeZuniga in 1972. Josh Brolin played him in the 2010 box office bomb Jonah Hex.

Legends of Tomorrow, which features many of the supporting characters from The Flash and Arrow, starts on The CW on Thursday.
