Making a Murderer prosecutor Ken Kratz will discuss his side of the Steven Avery case in a new book.
The Wisconsin lawyer made the announcement to WBAY-TV, saying that he is grateful to be able to tell the whole story.
Kratz also said that he's writing the book because "the one voice forgotten to this point is Teresa Halbach."
Making a Murderer depicts the trial of Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey, who were both arrested for the murder of a young freelance photographer. The documentary strongly suggests that Avery and Dassey deserve a new trial due evidence tampering and corruption within the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department. Kratz comes across as the villain of the piece.
However, Kratz has gone on record as saying Making a Murderer leaves out key evidence, telling The New York Times that it "really presents misinformation."
Filmmakers Moira Demos and Laura Ricciardi responded to this claim by saying it would be impossible to include every piece of evidence presented in the trial, but they showed everything that was significant. Attorney Dean Strang also told Entertainment Weekly that none of the evidence absent from the documentary actually proves anything.
