All three Jeopardy contestants went home emptyhanded on Monday, meaning none of them can return on Tuesday. They were all stumped by the Final Jeopardy clue, and all of them bet all of their earnings on it.
The clue was, "A 1957 event led to the creation of a national historic site in this city, signed into law by a president whose library is now there too” and the answer was Little Rock, Arkansas. The category was State Capitals.
It was a three-way tie for $0 when the contestants answered Springfield, Austin and Atlanta, respectively.
“Tomorrow we will have no returning champion,” Alex Trebek told them. “We will introduce three new players to Jeopardy! So, sorry, folks.”
