The team over at Screen Junkies has done it once again. Their latest "Honest Trailer" treatment goes to Matt Damon's The Martian.
This trailer compilation reminds us just how many times Matt Damon has needed to be saved. From Saving Private Ryan to Interstellar cinema continues to keep rescuing Damon. Damon is described as a “pottymouthed astronaut” who has an incrediable skill set including; botany, engineering skills and high tech mathematic skills.
Screen Junkies deconstructs the films and makes the critical point that when Tom Hanks was stranded on a deserted island in Castaway all he needed to survive was "a volleyball and an ice skate.”
Despite the over the top humor, The Martian impressed at the box office and has been nominated for best comedy or musical at the upcoming Golden Globes.
