FRIDAY - At The Metro Court, Carly talked with Sam about throwing Jason a birthday party, but Sam wasn’t sure it was what he would want. She then filled Carly in on Elizabeth’s latest scheme and how he may not be in a partying mood.
At Elizabeth's place, Jason told her that nobody had broken into the house and she had lied to him before. Elizabeth thought if he believed that she would do this to their son then he never really knew her. They then agreed to put Jake first, in spite of the tension between them. Jason then said that he would check on her in the morning and then he left. Then, Jake appeared and asked if Sam made his father leave again. Elizabeth replied that nobody made him go away and they weren’t going to be living together, which he needed to accept.
At Wyndemere, Hayden told Nikolas that these feelings were new for her and they scared her since she was afraid to love him. Nikolas replied that love was always a risk worth taking. Hayden worried that she didn’t deserve him, but he wouldn’t hear it. He then told her to stay with him forever as his wife. He added that his life was better with her in it and that he was so in love with her. Nikolas then got down on one knee and proposed.
Michael, Sonny and Dante worked out at the gym and discussed their problems. Michael updated them on Sabrina and Dante explained how Lulu worked with Johnny to set up Valerie. Dante admitted that he didn’t know if he could forgive Lulu for what she did. Sonny gave him some advice on forgiveness, using himself and Carly as an example, but Dante said that they were nothing alike. Dante then left and Sonny told Michael that the only way to lose was to refuse to try, which was why he was there doing these exercises that he hates. He then added that he hoped that his sons learned from his mistakes. Michael assured Sonny that he had learned from his example every single day. After Michael left, Sonny pushed himself to stand up and he was able to do it.
Laura dropped by Maxie’s place to see Lulu and discuss her getting involved with Johnny. Lulu explained the whole story and how she just wanted Valerie to leave town. She didn’t understand how she became the villain. Laura told her she had been reckless and lashing out at everyone, so now she needed to slow down and reach some clarity. Lulu wished she had listened to her mom’s advice long ago. Then, Dante arrived so Laura left them to talk. Lulu apologized to Dante for what happened and she swore that everything she did was to save their marriage. Dante told Lulu that he and Valerie ended things around New Year’s, so all she did was pointless since he wanted to be with her. However, he thought it was too late to fix things and they had done too much damage to each other. He felt they weren’t who they once they were and he didn’t want their son to see how ugly they both could be. Lulu told him he was wrong, but Dante had made up his mind and said that he would be speaking to a divorce lawyer. Dante then left Lulu, who was crushed.
Jason dropped by The Metro Court bar where Sam and Carly were. Carly hugged Jason and wished him a happy birthday. Jason knew this wasn’t his birthday, but Carly explained this was the day he considered his birthday after the accident with AJ. He and Carly then got into an argument since he tried to tell her that he wasn't the Jason she remembered. She wanted him to stop separating who he was from who he was now and just be himself. She then walked out and Jason headed out to the terrace for some air. Michael arrived later for the party, but Carly told him there wasn’t one. She then ranted to Michael about how Jason was still Jason, but that he wouldnn’t accept it. Michael suggested giving him time to figure it out. Out on the terrace, Sam checked on Jason and he admitted that Carly was right in what she said to him. He knew he needed to start living and say thank you more often. Then, it began to rain on them and they ran inside. Jason was suddenly hit with an important memory of the two of them on the roof in the rain. He said this time he remembered how it felt to be with her.
Laura went over to Elizabeth's place to check on her and Jake. Elizabeth sent Jake to bed and she told Laura about the latest issue with Sam and Jason. Laura told her how sorry she was. Meanwhile, Jake drew a nasty photo of Sam as he listened in on the steps.
