Eagles of Death Metal giving free concert tickets to Bataclan survivors

Heavy metal rock 'n' roll band, Eagles of Death Metal, planned on playing a routine show this past November at the Bataclan in Paris, but horrific and unexpected terror attacks forever changed their plans. After initial shock had settled, the band promised that they would be back and would finish the show they started that fateful night.  Now months later, Eagles of Death Metal are returning to Paris to fulfill that promise.

On Thursday, they announced via their website that they would be giving free tickets to survivors of the attack to their concert next month. The show will be taking place on Feb. 16th at the Olympia Theatre in Paris, which is not far from the Bataclan.

"Fans who were at the Bataclan show on November 13th will be entitled to a free ticket for the rescheduled Paris date at the Olympia Theatre on February 16th," wrote Eagles of Death Metal.  "Unfortunately, the Bataclan Theatre will not be open again in time for the band’s return on this tour."

The Bataclan was the deadliest site during the terror attacks, which was blamed on ISIS, as 89 people were killed there. In total, 130 people were killed on Nov. 13.

The band is also rescheduling additional tour dates that were postponed following the attacks.
