There’s very little that can stop Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band from playing a concert, but a blizzard will do it. Thanks to the storm that hit most of the Northeast over the weekend, The Boss was forced to postpone a show at Madison Square Garden.
Springsteen was supposed to perform at MSG on Sunday, but because of the travel ban in the tri-state area and safety concerns, the show was postponed. A new date for the show has not been announced yet.
In the meantime, to please fans, Springsteen posted his entire Jan. 19 show in Chicago to download for free on his website. It will only be available for two days, ending tomorrow.
The show includes a tribute to the late Glenn Frey of The Eagles. Springsteen and The E Street Band performed a special rendition of “Take It Easy” in honor of Frey, who died last week.
The show also features every song from the 1980 album The River, as well as other hits like “Cover Me,” “The Rising,” “Thunder Road,” “Born To Run” and “Dancing in the Dark.” The show finishes with an eight-minute version of “Shout.”
Springsteen is set to play Madison Square Garden on Tuesday.
