A Brooklyn man has listed the igloo he built when the blizzard hit New York this past weekend on Airbnb for $200 a night. However, the site pulled down the listing for not meeting occupancy standards.
Patrick Horton, a freelance art director, described the igloo built in his backyard as a “Boutique Winter Igloo for 2.”
“Dripping with ingenuity and alt-lifestyle aura lays this Snowpocalypse’s most desirable getaway,” he wrote, adding, “Built completely by hand all natural. Come experience this chic dome-style bungalow with Bae," NY Post reports.
After the listing went viral and Horton got five requests to rent it out, he was contacted by Airbnb about having to shut it down.
Got shut down by @Airbnb for not meeting occupancy standards. Though they were nice enough to tell us that it looked very well constructed.

While Airbnb pulled the igloo hotel from their site, they did offer Horton a $50 credit. “Be sure to pick a place with running water, electricity, and a roof that doesn’t melt,” they wrote in an email.
