Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer gives birth to twin girls one day after major press conference

Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has welcomed twin girls with her husband Zachary Bogue. The couple is already parents to 3-year-old son Macallister.

Mayer took to Twitter on Thursday to make the announcement, assuring everyone was doing fine.

“Zack and I are excited to announce that our identical twin girls were born early this morning,” she tweeted. “Our whole family is doing great! @zackbogue.”

USA Today reports Mayer revealed she was expecting twins in September on Yahoo’s Tumblr page.

Throughout her pregnancy, much like with her son, Mayer took “limited time away” from work. A day before she gave birth, she held a press conference announcing a company turnaround.

She's expected to take a short maternity leave, which is a hot topic in recent months.
