7. April decides not to continue treatment
While in Italy with her friends, April reveals she’s elected not to continue treatment. She’s tried clinical trials that haven’t worked and might be able to have a transplant when she arrives home to Boston, however, April feels she could die happy and believes she’s reached her final chapter in life. April’s news upsets her friends, though they keep this a secret from her.
