Miranda Lambert earns spot on Forbes list of 2015's highest-paid women in music

Miranda Lambert has had a very busy 2015 but she is ending the year with a high honor from Forbes magazine. Lambert was listed as one of the top 10 highest-paid women in music today. Lambert took the No. 8 spot on the countdown.

The "Over You" singer earned $28.5 million this year, this is in part due to her multiple income streams. Beside music, she has her own clothing line and pet accessories, but music remains her focus. Lambert earned Female Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards this year.

Katy Perry came in first place earning a reported, $135 million. Taylor Swift took second with $80 million and coming in third place was Fleetwood Mac earning $59.5 million.

The list is created based upon pretax income from June 1, 2014 to June 1, 2015, before taking away various management fees.

While 2015, might have started out rocky for the country singer, Lambert is ending the year on a high note and a brand new relationship with Anderson East.
