Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will not appear on 'Fuller House' so here's how Michelle Tanner's absence is explained

We now know the Olsen twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, won’t appear on the Full House reboot Fuller House, so how will Michelle’s absence be explained on the show?

The explanation is a pretty clear indication of art imitating life, because Michelle Tanner is doing exactly what the Olsen twins have done – creating a fashion empire in New York City.

According to Us Weekly, their signature line “You got it, dude!" will also be mentioned in one episode, when the Tanner family prank calls Michelle.

Full House ended in 1995 and John Stamos, who plays Uncle Jesse, confirmed the series’ reboot in April on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Lori Loughlin recently said in an interview that the first season has already wrapped and the Olsen twins aren't a part of it.

Nearly everyone else from the original cast will return and the show will premiere on Netflix early next year.

Stamos posted photos from the set over the summer, captioning one with Loughlin, “Becky and Jesse together Forever.”
