Matt Reeves is currently working on Dawn of the Planet of the Apes but after he is done with that he already has his next project set up.
According to Variety, Reeves is going to produce the political thriller, Spring Offensive. Fox acquired the rights to the film and with the success of the Apes movies, Reeves was one of the first choices.
The plot details have not been released yet but it’s being described as a “smart, female-driven political thriller.” Empire Online speculates that it could be about the Arab Spring protests between 2010 and 2012, due to the title.
Reeves signed a three-year first-look deal at Fox back in 2014 after Dawn of the Planet of the Apes grossed $710 million worldwide. He has also directed Let Me In and Cloverfield. He's currently directing War of the Planet of the Apes which is set to hit theaters in 2017.
Reeves is represented by CAA, 3 Arts and Jackoway Tyerman.
