Beyond her early days as a Fly Girl on In Living Color, Lopez has primarily been a movie fixture, even if her projects have had middling success in recent years. Yet, while many might have called this a fall from grace at one point, the actress is taking the same approach as many in Hollywood: transitioning from the big screen to a high-quality TV show.

It used to be that, as an actor, you’d start on TV, see success, and then have movie offers come your way. While that’s still the case for many up and comers, more established performers have set their sights on high-quality dramas, be it something on cable or a streaming show. And, rather than be a flash in a pan, many of these endeavors have brought these actors more accolades.
