Tina Fey’s comedy gets a release date

Tina Fey is one of the funniest women on the planet who had much success in the TV and film world. Her latest project centers on journalism in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

According to Deadline, the untitled film has a March 4th release date and is an autobiographical adaptation on Kim Baker. Baker was the Chicago Tribune’s South Asia bureau chief from 2004-09, was also a journalist living in a male dominated world in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The film will follow Baker’s memoirs, The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The former SNL star will portray Baker and is also producing alongside Lorne Michaels and Ian Bryce.

As well as Margot Robbie, Martin Freeman, Nicholas Braun, Christopher Abbott, Sheila Vand, Stephen Peacocke, Billy Bob Thorton, and Evan Jonigkeit. Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, who directed Crazy Stupid Live, are directing the Robert Carlock script.

Variety reports that filming will begin in New Mexico this February.
