One Direction says their new album without Zayn Malik is 'our best one'

Even without the services of the popular Zayn Malik, One Direction believes their newest album is their bet one yet.

One Direction fans all across the world have been through a lot of stress lately.

One Direction member Zayn Malik quit the group entirely this past year. Following that news, the band said that they would be going on a hiatus following the completion of their latest album and tour.

Harry Styles opened up to People Magazine and talked about the group's most recent album, Made in the A.M.:

"Obviously when you get the finished product, a voice that was there before isn't there anymore, so obviously that's different. But we set out to make a record that we felt is our best one, and we really have been really proud of the fact that we feel like we've done that."

The album doesn't feature any songs that address all of the band's recent drama but the group said that they had a difficult time processing everything. "It was a tough time," explained One Direction's Niall Horan. "We took 10 weeks of our tour to literally just go into the studio and spent that time in L.A. And a lot of time in London on writing. That's probably why we're so proud of it."

Despite the drama that has surrounded the group, they insist that they are better than ever. "This record is one where the four of us have contributed the most," said Louis Tomlinson,"When you lose a member of the team, of course that's a hard thing to deal with, but actually what was kind of cool about the situation is we kind of knew that we had to bond together as a band at that stage and we actually really did that."
