'Modern Family's' Reid Ewing confirms he's gay but was 'never in' the closet

Modern Family’s Reid Ewing recently came out about his addiction to plastic surgery and body dysmorphia disorder, and he’s now coming out as gay.

Ewing wrote a blog for the Huffington Post last week and admitted to his body image struggles.

When watching a body dysmorphia segment on Good Morning America featuring Eugene Bata, Ewing took to Twitter to declare how “hot” he thought Bata is. This prompted a Twitter user to inquire about his sexuality.

When someone asked, “Did you also just out yourself?” he replied, “I was never in.” Ewing, who plays Haley Dunphy's on-again, off-again boyfriend Dylan on the hit show, then posted some GIFs making light of the sudden interest in his sexual orientation.
