Kelly Clarkson is sharing she’s having a rough second pregnancy, telling Gayle King during an interview for CBS This Morning on Wednesday that her morning sickness lasts all day.
The singer, who’s expecting a baby brother for her daughter, River Rose, with husband Brandon Blackstock, said it’s so bad that she needs to get hooked up to IVs.
“I’m familiar with all-day sickness,” she said on the CBS morning show. “I have to get IVs and fluids because I get so dehydrated. It’s really bad.”
Clarkson announced her second pregnancy in August while onstage during her concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. When she started getting emotional about a song, she came clean, telling the crowd, “I’m totally pregnant.”
Clarkson and Blackstock welcomed their daughter River Rose in June 2014 and he also has two children from a previous relationship.
“[He’s] the complete opposite of how my father was,” Clarkson said of her husband. “He is present. He wins for being around.”
