The Foo Fighters are the latest band to cancel their tour in the wake of the recent Paris attacks.
With U2 announcing the cancellation of their tour hours earlier, this decision comes as no surprise. A string of coordinated attacks had devastated Paris on Friday night, leaving 129 dead and hundred more injured. One of the attacks came at a concert venue, where American rock band Eagles of Death Metal had been performing.
“It is with profound sadness and heartfelt concern for everyone in Paris that we have been forced to announce the cancellation of the rest of our tour,” the band said in a statement via Facebook. They continued with their statement by adding their "thoughts and prayers" were with all who were affected by the attack.
According to Ticketmaster's website, the Foo Fighters had been scheduled to make a pair of appearances in Paris on Monday and Tuesday for now canceled shows.
In related news, Natalie Portman and Steven Spielberg also canceled previous planned engagements in Paris.
