You might have needed a magnifying glass, but it was there. New York Yankees great Derek Jeter confirmed that he is engaged to model Hannah Davis.
Last week, a source told the New York Post’s Page Six that he proposed on Oct. 25 to celebrate their three-year anniversary. There wasn’t any comment from either of them, but Jeter let it slip that he is engaged in a new Player’s Tribune post.
The post is mostly about his new dog Kane, an Italian Mastiff puppy Davis gave him as a Christmas gift. He refers to Davis as his fiancee, confirming the happy news.
“I had no idea what I was in for as a new dog owner,” Jeter wrote. “He was a Christmas gift last year from my fiancée, whose family had Mastiffs growing up. I’ve never owned a pet in my life.”
Jeter, 41, is best known for his days as the Yankees’ shortstop and was a member of five World Series winning teams. As for Davis, 25, she’s best known as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and also currently stars in commercials for DirecTV.
