2015 List of 10 most dangerous toys revealed

It’s that time of year again when shoppers will head out to find the perfect toys for the little one but be careful because what you pick may actually be a danger to your child.

The World Against Toys Causing Harm has released its list of the top 10 most dangerous toys found on the market today. The consumer watchdog group hopes that every parent will check which toys are a danger and why before they do all their holiday shopping.

Before we get to the list though, it should be noted that Toy Industry Association disputes that toys sold in U.S. stores should be considered an actual "danger" to your child. It points out that toys sold in this country must go through very strict safety requirements and must pass more than 100 safety tests, standards and certification by an independent, federally approved testing lab.

“Their allegations are based on pure conjecture and opinion,” the association said in at statement. “When examined and reviewed, year after year these lists have repeatedly shown to be full of false claims and needlessly frighten parents and caregivers.”

The 2015 WATCH list and what the group says is the risk for each toy is as follows:

Toy 1: “BUD” SKIPIT’S WHEELY CUTE PULL ALONG –possible choking hazard

Toy 2: FOAM DART GUN –replica looks very similar to a real firearm

Toy 3: STATS 38 QUICK FOLDING TRAMPOLINE –could potentially suffer neck or back injuries

Toy 4: POO-DOUGH –could cause allergy-related injuries

Toy 5: SPLAT X SMACK SHOT –could potentially cause an eye injury

Toy 6: KICK FLIPPER –could suffer head injuries

Toy 7: LEONARDO’S ELECTRONIC STEALTH SWORD –could cause blunt force injuries

Toy 8: KID CONNECTION DOCTOR PLAY SET –potential choking hazard

Toy 9: PULL ALONG ZEBRA –potential strangulation device

Toy 10: JURASSIC WORLD VELOCIRAPTOR CLAWS –could cause eye or facial injuries
