Taylor Swift celebrates one year of '1989' with acoustic version of 'Out of the Woods'

To celebrate the one-year anniversary of her tremendously successful album, 1989, Taylor Swift shared a solo acoustic piano performance of "Out of the Woods."

The singer took to Twitter to share the special version on Tuesday.

Prior to playing the song, Swift spoke to her audience about the relationship that inspired the song. She said, "The number one feeling I felt in the whole relationship was anxiety, because it felt very fragile, very tentative. It always felt like ok, what’s the next roadblock?"

"What’s the next thing that’s gonna…deter this? How long do we have before this turns into an awful mess and we break up? Is it a month? Is it three days?" she said.

"I think a lot of relationships can be very solid, and that’s kinda what you hope for, solid and healthy, but that’s not always what you get,” Swift added. “It doesn’t mean that it’s not special and extraordinary just to have a relationship that’s fragile and somehow meaningful in that fragility."

This stripped-down version of the tune was performed at the Clive Davis Theatre on Sept. 30, 2015 in celebration of Swift's exhibit at the GRAMMY museum.
