Jim Carrey meets with Cathriona White's family at her home before they bring her back to Ireland for burial

Jim Carrey’s on-again, off-again girlfriend, 28-year-old Cathriona White, reportedly committed suicide on Monday night. White and Carrey split just last week.

White was found by two friends who went to her Los Angeles home to check on her after the break-up and they found her dead with an pill bottle by her side.

LAPD sources told TMZ it appears that White died from an overdose. She reportedly left a suicide note for Carrey.

The same day of their split she tweeted she would be “signing off” of the social media site.

Carrey and White met three years ago but only dated for a few months. They got back together in May but split last week for unknown reasons.

On Sept. 1 and 16, Carrey tweeted photos with credits to White. “Your true self is unfathomably immense, and I mean that as a compliment. ;^P (photo by Cathriona White),” he wrote.
