Paltrow was honored at the event for her work with the charity, L.A. Kitchen, which provides leftover food from restaurants to the less fortunate.

While there, she talked about her 11-year-old daughter with ex-husband Chris Martin, calling it “such a great sign” that Apple is such a big fan of Swift.

“Taylor is a girl who’s incredibly talented,” she told People. “She writes her own music. She’s not naked on the red carpet. She’s an incredibly astute businesswoman, so with role models like that, [Apple] can’t go wrong.”

She also talked about Apple’s generation, saying they’re “so in their power” and “going to do something very special.”

Meanwhile, Variety reports Paltrow discussed onstage how being "ambitious" was frowned upon during her early days in Hollywood, but it isn't anymore.  If "you were labeled ambitious, that was a bad word,” she said. But she believes women in Hollywood are “on the verge of creating a new archetype.”
