Brad Pitt is gushing about working with his wife, Angelina Jolie, again in their first film since Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Despite the heavy nature of By the Sea, which she wrote and directed (and co-starred in), he was happy just to work with her.
The trailer came out in August, which shows their characters in a dark place in their marriage. Things seem to be the complete opposite in real life.
"It's surprising how much I enjoy the direction of my wife," Pitt told V Magazine. "I trust her with my life.”
Pitt went on to describe how natural of a role it is for Jolie to be at the helm, saying "She's decisive, incredibly intuitive, knife-sharp and, might I say, sexy at her post."
They have both laughed off the fact that they shot the film on their honeymoon, and Pitt admitted it wasn’t “the wisest way” to spend it. “But then again, fighting to make something together. What better metaphor for marriage?
