New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez will be covering the rest of the MLB playoffs as an analyst on Fox Sports, but he made the news Sunday for another reason.
Rodriguez was on the set of FOX NFL Sunday and ended up throwing a football through a television. You can see the video below in a Fox Sports tweet on the incident.
Rodriguez’ pass was intended for Jay Glazer, but was overthrown and smashed into a monitor in the background. The men on the set laughed it off and A-Rod promised not to break anything else during his tenure. Obviously, there was no intent to break the TV but it caused a comical moment nonetheless.
SB Nation reported that the incident happened just 20 seconds after Rodriguez was introduced. The Yankees slugger used to be a quarterback in high school. Luckily for him, he made himself a star in the MLB and did not try to become a quarterback in the NFL.
