Dan Schneider, Zoey 101’s producer, never breaks a promise.
On Friday, Schnieder posted a video on his social media. The producer tweeted, “I never break a promise! I love you guys. I love Zoey 101. This is for THE FANS. #WhatZoeySaid.”

The video features Chase Matthews (Sean Flynn), his current girlfriend, and Michael Barret (Christopher Massey). It takes place 10 years after Zoey (Jamie Lynn Spears) put a DVD about her feelings for Chase in a time capsule at PCA, the group’s boarding school.
The clip shows Michael bursting into a café where Chase is about to propose to his girlfriend. Michael has the DVD confessional Zoey made. No one has a DVD player, but one person does offer up a VCR. Thankfully, Michael had already watched the tape and was able to recite Zoey’s words to Chase. As Chase looks at a photo of Zoey, and his girlfriend sits uncomfortably and watches, Michael reads,
“And Now, I wanna tell you about one of the most special people I’ve ever met. His name is Chase Matthews. He’s one of the funniest, coolest, nicest guys in the world. Sometimes, I kinda think he has a little crush on me, but other times, I kinda think he just wants to be friends. All I know for shure is, Chase is really special to me, and who knows, maybe he’s even my soulmate.”
The video ends with Chase running out of the café with a ring, before the screen fades to “To be continued…?”
Over 1.4 million people have watched the clip. Schneider tweeted later, “I had no idea #Zoey101 was this loved by so many people. THANK YOU all for watching my shows, and caring so much.”
