Ronda Rousey appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show Monday claiming she was the highest paid fighter in the UFC.
The women’s bantamweight champion did not give a number to her salary or weather that included revenue such as sponsorships.
According MMA Junkie Rousey received a payday of $130,000 from her last fight which is below several other fighters on the roster. It is likely that outside resources constitute a large portion of her income.
UFC President Dana White has encouraged fighters to keep their salaries private.
Rousey, who was recently named “Best Female Athlete Ever” by ESPN also showed an emotional side during her interview.
Entertainment Weekly reported Rousey opened up about her emotions the week before a fight stating “It’s like the most stress, most anxiety, most pressure possible and then it’s the happiest you could possibly be.”
Rousey will look to score another big payday at UFC 193 on Nov. 14, when she takes on Holly Holm.
