Pete Davidson remembers his firefighter father on 9/11

Saturday Night Live’s Pete Davidson remembers his father, who died on 9/11.

Davidson tweeted and shared Instagram photos of his father Friday, in remembrance. Davidson’s father was New York firefighter Scott Davidson, according to Entertainment Weekly. Davidson’s father’s unit was called to the Marriot World Trade Center Hotel, which was destroyed upon the collapse of the Twin Towers. He was among one of over 300 firefighters who lost their lives that horrific day, according to CNN. Overall 2,977 people were killed in the attacks.

Davidson first tweeted a photo of himself wearing a firefighter helmet with his dad. The picture was captioned, “Can’t believe its been 14 years. I remember seeing ur gigantic d**k like it was just yesterday. RIP Dad #NeverForget.”

Davidson then tweeted a collage of photos captioned, “All jokes aside. There’s not a day that goes by where I dont think of u. Ur my hero. Cant wait to see u again someday

Throughout the day, Davidson continued to tweet and retweet Patriot Day related posts.
