The King of Queens star infamous left the Church of Scientology in 2013, according to E! News. She talked about her departure on her TLC reality show It's All Relative. "I decided I didn't want to raise my daughter in the church because from what I've experience and what I saw, the church becomes your everything. It becomes your mother, your father, your everything. You are dependent on the church" she said.

Remini also tweeted, in response to a fan, about why now was the right time to baptize Sofia. "happened at the right time, our daughter was aware of what she was accepting and that was beautiful to witness."

It's All Relative airs Wednesday nights on TLC.
