Sometimes even a superpower shows some flaws in its system. Facebook has crashed yet again for the third time this month. The previous times were on the 17th and 24th of this month.

A Facebook spokesperson told, Mashable that the source of the outage was “a configuration issue,” and that the company is working on getting Facebook’s services back online as soon as possible.
Both the Facebook website and mobile app crashed around 3pm eastern time. This crash seems more serious than the previous crashes. According to Venture Beat the first outage lasted an average of five minutes for most users. The second one took about 10 minutes to fix. Today’s outage appears to be the longest by far.
Multiple sources have reached out to Facebook to try and find the source of the problem and Facebook has been unresponsive or giving little answers. Users are understandably frustrated but can expect Facebook to be back up and running sooner rather than later.
