Christina Hendricks joins ‘Fist Fight’ with Ice Cube, Tracy Morgan

Former Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks is reportedly in talks to join Fist Fight, a new comedy that pits Ice Cube and Charlie Day against each other.

The casting was first reported on Friday by The Hollywood Reporter. She will play a drama teacher who has a thing for Ice Cube’s character.

Fist Fight is in development at New Line. It stars Ice Cube and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia star Charlie Day as two teachers who get into an epic fist fight. It was written by Evan Susser and Van Robichaux.

Tracy Morgan joined the film earlier this week and it will mark his return to the big screen following his car crash last year. Jillian Bell (Workaholics) and Dean Norris (Breaking Bad) will also star.

Shooting starts next month in Atlanta. Richie Keen is directing.

Hendricks has been busy piling up new roles since Mad Men ended. Although she did leave Cameron Crowe’s Roadies series, she later joined SundanceTV’s Hap and Leonard. She also stars in Comedy Central’s Another Period. On the film side, she starred in Ryan Gosling’s Lost River and just filmed The Neon Demon.

Hendricks was nominated for six Emmys for playing Joan Harris on Mad Men, but never won. She does have two Screen Actors Guild Awards as a member of the AMC show’s cast.
