Andre Chrys 'Window to Nowhere' Album Review

Andre Chrys is a singer-songwriter from Vancouver who attempts to uproot in his music the fares of country and Americana in his sound. With remembered numbers like the opener “Benefit of the Doubt”, “Love Don’t Understand”, and the title-track, “Window to Nowhere”, the range of vocalization on each track shows a generous adaptability for showmanship. With righteous fervor, Chrys sings about the world’s basic hang ups in “The Velvet Rut” and about recovery in “Falling Apart”.

The tracks on Window to Nowhere are above all stellar. They bring to the forefront of what Chrys is attempting and melds it so that it works. About to be released this October 15, 2015, Chrys has set his sights on an overall hardworking album till then.

Fluctuating between nuances of haunting vocals with ghostly effects and a timeless quality to Chrys’ singing, there is a touch of clean, vernacular organization in these tracks. Hypnotizing yet with nuances of a relaxed quality, the lyrics are both tantalizing and has both a lilting effect to them. The spirit on each track surges alone. The powerful litany of the guitar strumming towards the middle of each song has the quality of the range of emotional power that each track delves down into.

Having opened for such acts like Watchmen, The Headstones, Junkhouse, and Dan Mangan, Chrys will be bringing with him on the road some newfound connotations that will have listeners sinking within the plush sound. Mesmerizing with adaptable pizzazz in this familiar sound, this rock worth album explores with its enveloping sound the contours of each track. The minute heavy wash of canopy of sounds with its arrays of strumming guitars and heavy backbeat will lend its hand in bleeding through the consciousness of each listener.

Window to Nowhere has the staying power to arrive anywhere. With its abundant accessibility power, the album will stain listeners’ consciousness with its rock quality form.
