YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley ordered to pay Kim Kardashian and Kanye West for leaking engagement video

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have settled their lawsuit with YouTube co-founder, Chad Hurley, who leaked a video of their 2013 engagement.

Hurley was ordered to pay the couple $440,000 for posting a video from their special moment at AT&T Park in San Francisco, which later aired on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Once he pays the settlement in the next few days, the lawsuit will be dropped.

TMZ reports the Wests say Hurley manipulated his way into the venue, which was closed down just for the surprise engagement, and even signed a confidentiality agreement.

Hurley sold YouTube with his partners for $1.6 billion and went on to found MixBit, so he can certainly afford the settlement. He posted the secretly recorded video on the startup site, claiming free speech as the reason he was able to, Daily News reports.

He tweeted a link to the video on his site and wrote, “Congrats Kim and Kanye!”
