Kim Kardashian regrets 'experimenting' with fashion during first pregnancy, says scrutiny 'took a toll'

Kim Kardashian has shared her fertility struggles with her fans extensively on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and in various interviews, and now that she’s pregnant with her second child, she’s opening up about it some more.

In an interview with C Magazine, Kardashian revealed she had a condition called placenta accrete, which made it really hard for her to get pregnant for the second time. She also said after she gives birth to her baby boy this December, she might have to get her uterus removed, making it impossible to have a third child naturally.

Due to her “complications” getting pregnant again, she said it “takes the fun out of” trying for a baby. She recalled telling her husband, Kanye west, “I’m ovulating, get home now!” and “He’d be like, “Wait, I’m in the studio.”

Her second pregnancy couldn’t be more different than the first; mainly because she doesn’t have preeclampsia, which made her swell up.

“It was the worst! I couldn’t help it, and everyone would say, ‘She can’t stop eating,’” she said. “I delivered at 180, and they were like, ‘She’s 210 pounds. She’s getting dumped because she’s too fat,’ and all these ridiculous stories. It really took a toll after the fact, when I was losing weight.”

Kardashian went on to say that having gone through that with the media, she’s changed the way she approaches her public image.

“Before I was always smiling, and so in to being out and about,” she said. “After I had the baby, I was like, these are the same people that made fun of me, and posted the stories that were so awful, calling me fat for something I couldn’t control. I don’t want to smile for them. I don’t want to be out.”

As for getting scrutinized for her outfits during her first pregnancy, she said it was due to taking advice from multiple stylists.

“They wanted me in really outrageous things, and really fashion-y things,” she said. “It probably wasn’t the time to be experimenting.”
