1. Notorious, 1946
Not only is Notorious one of Alfred Hitchcock’s best films, but it also features one of Bergman’s best performances. It’s a juicy role that pits her in a love triangle between Claude Rains and Cary Grant. Not only does it feature the famous long kiss, but it also includes this beautiful crane shot that reveals a key inside Bergman’s hand. The best part of Bergman’s performance comes early in the film, when she really tries to go against type.
