Ingrid Bergman turns 100: Top 10 films

2. Autumn Sonata, 1978

There are some movies that can bring you to tears, but Autumn Sonata can bring on a full emotional breakdown to anyone who wishes they got to spend more time with their mother. In her final screen role, Bergman finally got to work with Ingmar Bergman. She was difficult on the set but that amazingly comes alive on the screen. Liv Ullmann is truly stunning as Ingrid’s daughter and proves to be completely up to the challenge. I cannot recommend this film enough, but be prepared. It isn't easy to watch.
