Frank Gifford, one of the greatest players in New York Giants history and a beloved sports broadcaster, died over the weekend. His wife, current Today Show co-host Kathie Lee Gifford, thanked his fans for their outpouring of support on Twitter.
In a message posted on Twitter and Facebook, Kathie Lee Gifford wrote, that she is “Deeply grateful to all 4 ur outpouring of grace.” She added, “We r steadfast in our faith & finding comfort in knowing where Frank is. Philippians 4:13.
Gifford died on Sunday at their Connecticut home. He was 84.
In addition to his stellar career with the Giants during the 1950s, which includes records he holds to this day, Gifford also called Monday Night Football with Howard Cosell. He married Kathie Lee Gifford in 1986.
Several other celebrities took to Twitter to remember Gifford’s career and as a great man.
